What should i do? My female red eared slider keeps trying to escape! Mia has fell over on her back 12times trying to get out the basking/land area in the last 6hrs.from her zoo med turtle tub. She is with claws-my male RES. I got her from petsmart when she was 4inch(2011), she is now 8in.(2014) so I've had her about 3yrs. but becaz she was already 4in when i got her I'm not sure her actual age. Claws is still 4in. anyways... I've noticed she has also been basking more than usual and not eating as much as usual. I thought maybe she is gravid but i felt for eggs infront of her hind legs like you are suppose to but i didn't feel anything but i don't really know how to do it. i hardly pushed in at all when i felt caz i didn't want to hurt Mia. So more like gently touched. I'm kinna freakin out with her strange behavior. I don't know what to do! Please help...

If you're really curious about her being gravid, you can take her to a vet and have her x-rayed, any eggs she m ay or may not be carrying would show up that way. If she's flipping onto her back and unable to get up on her own, you need to fix her enclosure to a way that she cannot get into that position.
Are you trying to breed these turtles? I don't recommend you become an RES breeder as you do not seem terribly informed about their needs, and health issues. Mia is roughly 5 years old by the fact that they are about 2 yrs old when they are 4 inches.
I would recommend you do a lot more research on RES turtles before you attempt to breed them or it could backfire on you.
There is a facebook page dedicated to RES turtles also you can try http://redearslider.com
They have lots of information and a member forum you can post and read on.
