Should I ask him out?

I went to law school with this guy and he graduated a year ahead of me. We were never really that close but we are Facebook friends. Now, after graduating from school far away, we are living about 30 minutes away from each other. I was thinking about writing him a message- something along the lines of "Hey, I hope you had a merry Christmas and all is well. I would love to talk to you about life after law school if you would like to grab coffee or a drink sometime. My number is ####. Shoot me a text one day when you are free."
Good? Bad? Creepy? What do you guys think?

Go for it. nothing wrong with a girl asking a guy out now and days. word of the wise though make sure you express to him you intentions at some point. You don't want him confused about friend zone borders.

Well does he have a girlfriend or is married? And it depends on how well you know him if you barely know him then Creepy if you know him as in a good friend drop a hint like this... I'd say in an email hey, we should catch up soon maybe over coffee or lunch this weekend. And wait for him to respond but I don't know about the know him a little part.
