Facebook gaining friend then loosing friend?

Ok so on facebook I have right now 188 Friends but sometimes it will go down to 187. It is the same person sometimes it will show me being friends with them and sometimes not I do not understand.

A lot of people think they will de-active their facebook and they do it, at the time you will see the few numbers down then they become curious, they wanna what did they miss, they re-open their account and then it comes to it's previous state, there will be more friends to figure out who did that, no worries

I had the same problem and I used to think people flush me out but I was wrong

it happened with me too but i think its a technical problem , it's really annoying
