facebook message virus?

on my facebook messages keep being sent to big groups of my friends about xboxes and pictures. some other people have it too, but i was wondering how i would go about getting rid of it?

You will have to do or have a system check done. To eliminate the current issue.

To avoid these issue's, change your browsing habits and that's the bottom line.
Perhaps someone else might have to change their's (giving a little latitude).

If you use Facebook apps, be careful. Many apps are viruses, malware and spyware. Remove the applications posting these ads, and report them to Facebook.
