Why is Yahoo inserting advertisements into their news section?
I'm not talking about on the right side of the screen. There was a link to an external website which looked like a news story. The heading was "Should you buy or rent textbooks" Only after I looked at the link again did I see on the right in tiny letters "AdSense" I can deal with advertisements that are not intrusive but this is clearly a ploy by Yahoo to obtain income through deception. With the advertisements that take up the full screen upon opening webpages, loud automatic flash plays and this current example, I'm find it harder and harder to not put adblock on my computer to just deal with this.

You answered your own question when you said, "...this is clearly a ploy by Yahoo to obtain income through deception."
Just like you now see a lot of "Facebook" links. Mark Suckerberg (deliberate misspelling) is paying Yahoo a boat load of bucks! Ads |
