Well my friends got the old facebook profile and I got the timeline which I never agreed to get..?

yes, facebook is slowly converting everyone to timeline without consent

They are having everyone who has a Facebook profile being automatically switched over to the new timeline. It is a slow process to switch everyone mandatory because of millions of people having an account. So those that do not have it now will one day.
I think of Star Wars and Darth Vader when Facebook does this nonsense.
Darth Vader's son: "I have altered the Facebook."
Darth Vader: "Pray I do not alter it further."
