How do I promote someone else's event on my Facebook page so that it will link back to their event?

I want to put the invite on my facebook page (preferable in the lower left of my page) and have it link to their invite. Is this possible?

I know I can share and post to the feed, but I want this to be more permanent.

if the event is already being advertised on fb
there should be a share button either at the top or half way down with + next to it
