How to pick files in uTorrent?

When you open a new torrent in uTorrent, there is a little window where you choose where to save the files, and what files to download from the torrent.

That always worked fine for me before, but since some time last year (I didn't do anything), the files in the bottom of the window (where you click and choose which you want to download) just won't show.
They're still there, it downloads just fine, but I can no longer choose what certain files to download, which means I always get the entire torrent.

I have extremely slow-speed internet now so I can't afford to download huge torrents, and I can't find any with just those certain files.
So how do I get uTorrent to show the files again, so I can select the ones I want?

(BTW, I got the latest version of uTorrent today to see if it would change things, but no.)

Are you using magnet links? Many websites have switched from sending you the torrent file to simply sending 'magnets', which are the hashtags of the torrent. The torrent therefore does not know the contents of the file until they are already downloaded, hence you cannot choose specific parts to download.

If it's not that, go to Options --> Preferences --> UI Settings and make sure that 'Show a window that displays files inside the torrent in advanced mode' is checked.
