We've been charged £183 by facebook..?
My mum's just got her credit card statement through and she's been charged £183 and it says it's for facebook. She's never given any of her details and neither have I or my brother. What could be going on? Misunderstanding maybe? She's going to phone up and see what it's about, has anyone else had this happen to them?
No no she's going to ring the bank Ads |

Maybe someone bought a bunch of those Facebook coins. Other than that, the only way to owe Facebook money is through advertising on their site.

You can get charged for a Facebook ad, but you would have had to give your credit card details, so this sounds like a scam charge.

This is the first I have heard of something like this. I don't use F-book so I have no idea if they require a credit card to open an account or not. If a card is not needed to open an account on F-book, then someone has managed to get her credit card information. Beware!!

May be a fake/false company or person under a popular company name.
Have you used any other sites and bought something from them? |

Sounds as if your mum has had her card details stolen somehow and someone has used these details to purchase advertising space on Facebook. Facebook does not charge anyone except those who wish to advertise on their website (that's how they make their money)
