How to keep my smartphone 'healthy'? 10 points to the best answer?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (I don't want an S4) anyway, I got it recently, like a week ago and I close all the apps when I am not using them, I clear the memory in the "RAM" section in the Task Manager (which obviously helps the speed) I only have 7 apps (no games - don't see any point in playing games to be honest) they're just IM apps and Mobile Banking apps etc, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and that's it, which again has got to do with the speed. How do I make my phone healthy? I have Malwarebytes Mobile app as well to scan for viruses and it's safe. My phone is not broken and is running great, no lags with the OS or anything like that but I'm only asking so I know. Btw I turn off my phone during the night which obviously saves battery.

Can you suggest what I can do to improve speed, or performance or anything of that nature (if I haven't already said it above).

Thank you so much, have a great day ahead Smile

Format it. Anti virus cannot detect ALL virus in your phone.

Get rid of MalwareBytes you don't need an antivirus since you don't download things. It's already near impossible to get a virus anyways. Delete pictures/videos you don't need. Only charge your phone when its lower than 20% this helps it charge faster and get 1 tap cleaner it will close caches delete history's and all that so your phone has more space and RAM that's it GS3's are amazing machines and don't need to have work done that much.

Electronic parts have lifespan

AMOLED screen : 15000 hour (oled blue color burn)
Battery : 500 times per charges
CPU : 8years
Touch screen : 50million touch

So... turn off (shutdown) your phone every week 20minutes to get more lifespan.

How to improve speed?

Answer : root your phone & install ad block ( block stupid ads)

Hi Bobby, what you are doing is fine :-) but wouldn't delete the anti virus incase of emergency they are always good to have. Also try to only change your phone when it is at 15% it is also okay to put your phone on charge over night, the Galaxy S3's battery has been designed not to over charge and will actually cut its self off after reaching 100% I have a Galaxy S3 as well and that is what I do. I also let my phone die completely at least once a month to strengthen the battery life. If you are also looking for a good anti virus I am using Comodo it is free to run and protects my phone really really well, I also get it to run a full scan of my my phone at midnight every night to keep it clean. Another thing is make sure you keep your phone in a nice protective cover as well it will help lengthen the life span of your device. Good Luck
