At school today my son found out that a classmate opened a facebook account with his name and picture on it.?

He does not want a facebook account, and he certainly doesn't want his name and face out there in the world of the internet. She gave him a what was supposedly the e-mail address and password she used, but they do not work. I found his page by doing a search on his name.
We want it deleted immediately. What can we do?? Going to the facebook "help" site was not very helpful

report the page as fake page and let many ppl do ....
emailing or calling the facebook customer care center wont help that much
but report is much better but it will take some time u know 500 million users so they need time to delete the account

A recent commenter on our Facebook identity theft protection guide asked how to report someone who has created a fake Facebook profile in her name. After doing some quick research, we found that Facebook makes it fairly easy to report a fake profile.

If you already have a Facebook account simply visit the Facebook "Report a Fake Profile" page and enter the requested information.

If you don't have a Facebook account you can ask a friend that does have an account to report the fake page on your behalf. Alternatively, you can send an email to "login@facebook.com". Briefly explain that a fake profile has been created in your name and provide your contact information so that a member of the Facebook support team may contact you to investigate the matter further.

I don't know which options you were looking at o the Facebook help page, but I just read that if there is an imposter profile on Facebook you can use the "Report/Block" button and select "Fake profile" from the drop down box.

My guess is that they will send an email validation to the address the account was registered under, which could mean trouble if this classmate didn't supply your son with the correct email address. I don't know what Facebook's other options are for this type of behavior, but if at first you don't succeed "Report/Block" again!

Well maybe customer service could help but try reporting it if that does not work just call up Facebook: 650-543-4800

Oh My Lawrd In Heaven! His face on the INTERNETS!!!!!!!! What a crisis!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK seriously i get why you wouldn't want it on there. tell the principal and get the bad kids in trouble.
