If an IM is sent to you on facebook...?

and it's obviously not from the person that supposedly sent it (like it's an advertisement with a link), and you do NOT click on it...does that me your computer has a virus on it, or that your computer could get a virus?

Don't click on any links sent to you on any IM period....those are usually malicious in nature and could cause the computer harm.....The one your talking about appears on the Yahoo Messenger stating "is that your picture on Facebook"...and when the person clicks on the link....there infected.......

The only way to become infected would be for you to actually click the link. If your sent it, and You didn't click it your all good.
Make sure to have adequate security on your computer Just encase you ever do click it:
1. Anti-virus/anti-malware.
2. Windows updates.
3. Your firewall running.
