Conversation openers?

So I really like this girl in my class, she's smart nice and amazingly beautiful. I'm really awkward and shy, I want to know some good conversation openers for conversations in Facebook and stuff like that , nothing like hi or hey or anything about homework cuz that's so overdone

You can always just comment on one of her statuses.

(Of course don't go posting in her old picture albums Lol)


In person: Wait for a Monday and ask her how her weekend was.

Maybe find a talent or interest she has that interests you as well and open a Facebook conversation with "so I heard you were good at _______" or maybe "so I heard you enjoyed ________". Maybe you can give that a shot. She'll see that you're interested in something that se likes or does and that might open a conversation just by saying that right there.
