How to break the ice with him? ... He's always around his co-workers.?

So there is this guy that works at my local grocery store that I go to with my mom every week. He unpacks groceries. I've noticed him a couple months ago and he definitely noticed me as well. Whenever he sees me his face seems to light up. We constantly keep staring at each other smiling. I am a shy person, so I'm scared to go up to him and make the first move, but he probably doesn't want to come to me when my mom's around...so we just keep staring and smiling. Whenever I catch him looking at me first, he always looks away really fast, starts to smile and blush...it's really cute. I've overheard him talking to his friends/co-workers a couple of times saying something like "oh there goes my girl", "that's the girl im trynna talk to" , "oh look here she goes" , "that's my girl" , "guys shut up here she is, damnn" , etc. It's really funny. His friend even had a elementary school moment where he started singing to my mom "oh mama this boy loves your daughter blah blah blah".

BUT what my problem basically is, is that me and the guy never spoke before. I think that he may have tried to talk to me in the past when his friend was around, but I'm not sure.

ANYWAYS, like I said we never spoke before, and so I don't know much about him. I don't even know if he has a girlfriend or not..I guess not though.

Once again, ANYWAYS I would love to get to know him, I would really like to talk to him or get him to talk to me, I just really want to break the ice already. I just don't know how. Whenever I see him I always chicken out and so I don't do anything to help the situation. I am so frustrated with myself that I can't make the first move.

If you think that he is interested in me and for your advice on how to finally break the ice. I'm so so scared, but I really want to do this. I was thinking that I'd add him on Facebook, but my plan with that didn't work because I couldn't find him..so I need something else. Please help, I really want to change this situation.

So, please help me with this situation. I need to break the ice and I think its time for me to grow some balls and make the first move. I just don't know how. I know that I could go and ask him where something is, but that just seems weird, considering that I go there every weekend and he knows that I do.

I just kind of feel awkward and embarrassed but I guess that it's just because I'm a shy person at first ... when I get comfortable around someone that's when the true me comes out.

Since he works at a super market, perhaps you can ask, "Can you SHOW me where the ____ is? I can't seem to find it." That way, you'll isolate him away from his co-workers, and have some alone time with him. I'm pretty sure he'll go out of his way to walk you to the product. That will give a couple of seconds for small-talk. You can lightweight flirt along the way.
