Why do people continually post rubbish about Farmville on their Facebook pages?

I'm sick and tired of going to my Facebook page and seeing it taken up with Facebook Friends who are doing stupid stuff on Farmville. What exactly is the fascination with Farmville anyway? To me it seems like something a 5 year old child might play, not grown adults!!

some people though get addicted to it, and than every time they go on facebook they play farmville,
and than they post stuff on their facebook pages.

I don't get it myself, but that doesn't give me any right to judge those who do. I have simply chosen to "ignore" all Farmville related posts, so now I don't see any of them in my news-stream.

I know, it's not that they're playing it, it's just the fact that they have to post it all over the f**king screen. It doesn't do that automatically, they're even given the option to play the game without plastering shít all over their page, but they've actually gone out of their way to post it, deliberatly, so they can tell you every single thing they're doing

You can edit your news stream so that you don't see your friends' posts about Farmville. They play it because they're bored.

Also other players can use bonuses that come with the postings, and adopt any animals found.
