What if your spouse allows his friend who hates you to insult you on facebook? Would this harm a marriage?

What if the spouse has friends who get along well with that person who hates and insults your spouse? Is this fair? I want to see if my opinions match or conflict with the public's. Thank you.

I feel that in marriage you have a duty to defend one another. Your loyalty should lay directly with your spouse. Friends come and go marriage should be forever. So if the spouse who is friends with the person who is disrespecting the other is not stepping up and defending the spouse I would definitely say this is cause for concern over said marriage because if you can not or will not defend your spouse against a malicious friend what else wont you do.

A person who is a friend to me, would never insult my spouse.... if so, they'd no longer be my friend.

That is disrespectful on many levels.
