Need ideas to market my beauty business?
Im a award winning makeup and hair stylist and I run a mobile makeup, hair and beauty business. I specialise in Weddings, special occasions, photoshoots, fashion parades and workshops. I'd like to know some creative, cheap and easy ways to promote and market my business. Winter is approaching and I need to boost my clientele.

Thanks for your thoughts.
xx
I have a facebook page Mobile MakeOvers, I also have a website http://www.tallora.com.au and I advertise primarily on bridal websites which keeps me very busy in summer.

hey,
it's good to have a fb page..but u definitely should get google plus and twitter too!!

As for the website, it is good you have one...but i don't think it is generating any clients for u as it is not ranking good on search engines.
It's permalinks are also not SEO friendly

If u work on the website...and rank well on the search engines..it is the best and the cehapest way to advertise/...
Mail me...i can guide u to what needs to be done for the website

You could:
- give out promotional flyers
- advertise in a local trade magazine, or in one that contains your target market
- TV
- Radio
- Newspaper classifieds
- in salon windows
- web campaign (get £50 free on Google Adwords) http://tinyurl.com/adwords-50-voucher

Other than that it appears you are adverting to the target market through bridal websites already.

Hope this helps

You should launch your own website and then start promote it because without launching website you can't achieve your goals.

Firstly, your website is not capturing any leads which could potentially result in lost sales.

I suggest you have some irresistible offer to entice your website visitors to subscribe to your list (perhaps email and mobile).

Promote through email marketing, sms marketing and Facebook. You can run cost effective time sensitive promotion to boost your winter sales. eg Send out an email campaign, exclusive June special..., SMS marketing or Facebook promotion: be the first 3 customers to book a pedicure and receive a free (eg nail shaping, or voucher for your next purchase).

If you don't have your own email list, consider approaching businesses that have the same customer base and are not your competitors (eg wedding photographers) and see if they are prepared to promote your business to their list. For example if you offer their subscribers an exclusive discount or voucher, you'll benefit from new customers and they'll benefit from being able to provide value to their subscribers.

Don't forget to display the Facebook icon in all your advertising and marketing efforts. You should make this more prominent on your website.

Tapping into your existing clients or clients of complimenting businesses through the use of some time sensitive promotion will deliver the quickest and most cost effective results.

For the longer term strategies, you need to look at on-page optimisation and off-page SEO.

This can be achieved through the following methods:
~ listing your business on business directories
~ writing articles and submitting them
~ create videos and upload to YouTube and other video directories
~ building high quality backlinks to your website, post on relevant blogs/forums

Along with have a Facebook page for your company as well as having your own website that is updated on a regular basis you may also want to try promotional merchandise or gifts. These are great for trade shows, parties, or even to say thank you to your clients. A great company that I have used in the before is Myron. Hope this helps.

Marketing is an art. Why not tap Social media resources?

Like- exploit facebook. Make use of facebook ads.

Exploit Pinterest- make use of Pinterest to drive more visitors to your blog.

Google Adwords- need to shell out money, but still worth the investment.

Start a blog- will help people know your brand better. More like a spokesperson for your brand.
