Why are virgos so negative?

I'm not saying all virgos are like this but i thought since Virgo was a mutable sign, they'd be more easygoing. My mom is the most negative and insecure person I've ever met. This is why I don't get her:
- I'm trying to get a job at a hospital now. She just told me that a doctor's ex wife just got a job. Then she got mad at me and started being passive with me. So what? Good for that person. What does that have to do with me? So does that mean I'm a failure ? Since when was I up for comparison?
- she puts me down with a "so?" When I'll be showing her something. Okay, was that necessary.. I did the same to her and she blew up.
- my bf's sister is an aries who I don't get along with and I know she hates me. My mom is apparently more offended than I am and says, "what did you do to piss her off?" One-nothing, two-I was just being myself. Just bc I don't listen to her bossy, controlling ways, doesn't make me a bad person. I am an adult and am more than capable. I don't need to be submissive to anyone.
- she goes to my dad's Facebook account and creeps on his ex girlfriend from more than 30 years ago bc she's that insecure.

She's sooooo passive aggressive with me lately. I think it's bc my career isn't taking off on HER time. There's only so many things I can control. I find this deceptive bc clearly pissed off at me for something but doesn't say anything about it yet gives me such negative attitudes...
In regards to the Facebook thing, she obsesses over his exes. She'll even download her pics of her and her family and do self sabotage, criticize herself and the exes. She even made a comparison collage of herself and her ex. Do I judge? Noooo. I snap her out of it but don't judge. She does the opposite with me

No!! My mom is the most negative Virgo in the world. And very very insecure. But in all fairness, my mother has narcissistic personality disorder. I want to think if she were healthy maybe she would be normal?!!

And it doesn't matter if their Moon or Sun or Mercury or Venus or whatever is in Virgo or whatever other sign; if you say Virgo Moon is a liar then lying must be a Virgo trait which means anyone with Virgo placements must have the possibility of being a liar. A sign isn't gonna change its traits based on the planet it's in. Planets in signs- what a person needs to feel/behave to feel complete, planets in houses- how a person expresses their needs.

And to answer your question; Virgo is an Earth sign and also a Yin sign, which means that it's in their nature to feel that way, and Earth signs are known to be as the most pessimistic. However, you need to see their whole chart and especially your Mom's Moon sign and Mars sign and the aspects they make, also the aspects her Sun makes.

Ya know I'm starting to think its Virgo women, becuase of your experience and the other person that answered about their Virgo mom, and now me about my recent ex. My Ex she would compare me with other guys like when I'm not feeling to well so I don't go all out on dinner she would be like my friends boyfriend makes her these restaurant type food in an if only voice. It really pissed me off, and she use to verbally attact my female friends or exes in person or Facebook. She did a whole bunch of other stuff like cheating on me. I'm glad I'm out of that relationship it was bullshit.
