How do I stop someone else's facebook notifications from coming to my Yahoo email account?
About three days ago a facebook user's notification emails began appearing in my Yahoo email account.

How do I stop this?

Can they read and use my Yahoo email?

The other person appears to have the same last name and first initial as mine.

Hi Robert,

In most cases like this it is simply misdirected emails due to someone else incorrectly using your email address, usually due to a typographical error.

Please note that many web sites that include online forms in which Internet users may enter information (e.g., name, email address, etc.) do not verify the email address of the person filling out the form. Often, they just provide a place directly on the web site to input an email address. The person entering the information can then provide their actual email address or, potentially, that of someone else. Whether intentionally, or by accident, Yahoo has no control over someone entering your email address as a contact email on web sites.

If you continue to receive misdirected emails, you may attempt to contact the sender and advise them they have the wrong contact email address.

You may also setup filters in your Yahoo Mail account to route the misdirected email out of your Inbox, and into a folder of your choosing. For more information on setting up filters in your Yahoo Mail account, please view the following Yahoo Mail Help article:

I hope this helps clear things up.
