I want to start a business/program? Only 16?
Hi! I want to start a program teaching adults and senior citizens how to read. My mom told me that there are a lot of older people who never learned how to read. Especially minority groups. I would love to give someone the gift of reading! How would I go about this?

I was thinking about hosting the sessions at the local library, but as far as getting word out. Should I just put up posters? How should I go about this?

This sounds like a great idea and hosting at your local library is the best/safest way to do it (at no cost to you or your readers). You could pass out flyers on the weekends early in the morning where your potential readers hang out (coffee shops, McDonalds, local church, school events, etc.). Make sure to use pictures that convey your message, since they can't read well. Many local businesses let people leave flyers on their counters, ask around about that too. You could also post a craigslist ad (their kids might find it and sign them up!), and put it on your facebook page, you might get some referrals.

Good Luck!
