Why can't I access or edit my files on my laptop?
I have a Samsung RV511 Intel Core i3, Windows 7 laptop.

I can see my files but when I try to open them there are problems. When I try to open a document on word, for instance a biology lab report, a pop up with a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark says

the directory name is not valid (C:\Windows\System32\...\Doc\Biology.Docx)

I downloaded a program called GIMP (Graphic Image Manipulation Program), and when I try to edit a picture a window pops up and says

Opening 'C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop\Pictures\5c22d8d61a297d0357a5ab7b7fb6c000.jpg' failed: Could not open 'C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop\Pictures\5c22d8d61a297d0357a5ab7b7fb6c000.jpg' for reading: No such file or directory

I have this same problem if I download and image and try to edit it.

I have no trouble if I want to view the picture. I can click on it and Windows Photo Viewer pulls up the picture.

If I take a picture with my webcam and try to upload it to facebook the file is not found even when I put it on my desktop. Only if I download the picture from the internet is when I can post a picture.

Lastly, when I try to consolidate my music with my itunes, a window pops up with the yellow triangle with the exclamation mark and says

There is not enough room on ''C:\'' to copy all of the requested files.

When I go to my computer, it shows that Local Disk (CSmile is full. I have tried transferring files to Local Disk (DSmile but they always stay in C. I even tried deleting files to make more room and it still doesn't work.

HELP I have a million things wrong with my laptop. What can I do to fix it and how did it get this way?

You need to free up lots and lots of room on your C drive. You run into numerous weird problems when there is not enough room for the OS to do swapping and paging. Start moving and deleting massive amounts of files. You need at least 5 GB free space for most models, more if you have large HDDs (500GB+). I always try to keep 100GB free on all my drives which keeps them happy.
