Do you take drunken confessions seriously?
I recently posted this question but due to lack of answers ive decided to repost. My guy friend recently got himself a little too drunk and began telling me he loved me & wanted to marry & have sex with me. Im not sure if he was really drunk as he said he was bc he was spelling words correctly & his texts made sense, however when he called me the same night he seemed pretty out of it. Was he drunk or not? If not, why would he pretend to be? Also, he text me the day after as if nothing happened. Like he doesnt even remember. What's his problem? But days later i see him on social media flirting with other girls? I'm really not even understanding.

May get better responses if the question wasn't in this Y?A category.
No joke.

it sounds like he probably was drunk, texing you those things would never work if he was sober, however he probably does like you if those thoughts have got into his head. typical boys are going to be flirting with multiple girls, if it annoys you, talk to him. other wise just ignore it

I myself don't really understand what he thinks. Maybe it's enough for him to drink a little to lose the memory the next day.

I don't always take them seriously, but I do believe that when people say things while being drunk are from their subconscious. I once accidentally said that I'm gay to some people from my orchestra, late at night when I was one of the last people to be at a party we had. I'm still not sure who are all the people who know about me. That's definitely not the best way to come out. I was planning on telling my orchestra in another kind of forum.

Anyway, drunken confessions have something to tell, even if it is something that seems to be ridiculous or don't make any sense.

Drunk words are sober thoughts. He probably just really likes you but over-exaggerated his feelings.
