My heart hurts. I think I need to break up with him?

I've been dating a 27 year old Christian man for 2 months. I'm 22, and non religious. We've told each other were soul mates and that we love each other. He means a lot to me.

Past couple of weeks he's started having anxiety and panic attacks... But doesn't know why. He's been going to a counsellor.

Communication started getting worse on how part. I've called him out on it but he says he's tired from work, and always stressing. He barely calls, doesn't text, and two and a half days ago told me he needed a day break to think about what happened at his therapist cause he's thinking a lot. He's assured me it has nothing to do with our relationship.

It's been more than a day and still no contact... He's on Facebook commenting on other peoples things, he's on all other social media things. Do I still give him space and wait for him? Or do I just suck it up and call him tonight?
