Facebook isn't hiding my join date! HELP!?

Timeline won't let me hide my join date!

Even though I can hide every other post and update, it has a pencil icon and a hide option, but it isn't doing anything. It stays on my Timeline and when I click ''viewed by others'' it's still there..

It was always possible before. I want it to be hidden please, I don't want people to know that I only just recently joined Facebook. It's the only thing stopping me from enjoying Facebook entirely.

Can someone tell me how to hide it?

I finally decide to do something about my non-existent social life and now FB does this to me?

Nothing ever works out for me! All I wanted was to hide my join date is that so much to ask?? I may as well just give up on life now

There is currently no way to hide it from others. u can only hide it from urself. I did some research, and im very sorry to tell u its impossible. I know how u feel though. U can tell ppl tht asked tht u had another 1 but it was hacked so u had to make a new 1! thts wht im ddoin


More help: I know wht its like to not have a social life. Its horrible. try making jokes in class and stuff. It makes people think ur funny, and at least ppl will say hi to u in the halls at school. U need to walk up to ppl and talk to them to get ppl to like u, and I don't do tht, cuz im too nervous to. but if u do, pppl will like u. Also act positive around ppl, smile as much as u can, and ppl will like u a little more, and u can start to have a social life. Hang in there. I know how horrible it feel.s sometimes I go home and cry my eyes out, but don't le other ppl know ur weakness if u do. Ur join date dosent rlly matter. Most ppl don't pay attention to it. If ppl ask, tell them u were hacked, ur parents didn't let u, or something like tht, I hope this helped!

You can hide your join date from the public, but you have to do it twice. Since you've already hidden it once, follow the steps below.

IMPORTANT: Your FB account must have a bit of activity in it so that the "Highlights" tab shows up at the top of the page. It won't show up if you just joined or you just have one or two activities.

1. Go to your Timeline and scroll all the way down until you see "Highlights" up top. The bar should look like this: Your Name>Timeline>Year>Highlights

2. Click the down arrow next to "Highlights" and click "All Stories." Wait for the page to load all the stories. Might take a while if you have a lot of activity.

3. Scroll all the way down again ("Born on" is the last entry) and scroll up a bit until you see your join date.

4. Now click the pencil icon and "Hide" the story for the second time.
That's it. If you don't see your join date, check if you have enough activities. Again,the "Highlights" tab must appear. I know it's a pain in the a**, but should work.
