Reuniting with a friend after 8 years, not sure what to expect?
I haven't seen my friend since 2006 and I don't really know what to expect or how to react really. We were close at school but after we left school we kind of drifted apart and he moved to Bristol from Southampton where we were born. We reconnected on Facebook and I'm driving to his house in Bristol this weekend to see him after all these years. Has anyone been in a situation like this? I mean it's going to feel abit strange meeting face to face after 8 years but how can we bond again and resume our friendship. We've both changed alot and I don't know how this will affect us?

Just really unsure of what to expect, got any advice?

I have gone through this a couple of times, with friends and cousins . Don't expect anything. Just talk about old times and what you have been up to. Don't make it como'icatec.

I left school in 2006. And I was close to a girl friend since we were in primary school age 3! After school we drifted apart and didn't reconnect only until last year through facebook. Now I see her almost everyday. She's had a child and everything but seeing her for the first time again I was so nervous. But honestly the best thing that's ever happened to me. We both instantly clicked like we had never even been apart all those years.
Just stay calm and be yourself. We all change but it's nice when you get back in contact with someone from the past. It's nerve racking but after the first time seeing your friend it will get easier. Talk about old times Smile

Just talk about how it was and what you have both been up to since being apart and what your doing now and just take it from there :0)
