Facebook email notifications?

So I have unread emails on my account on Facebook, two infact but the red notification doesn't come up and I havent read these emails, if I get someone to send me an email will it come up with 3 red notifications or just the one?

ask you friend to send a nodification and try it yourself

The red notification only appears when it just appears or to let you know you have new email. If you get 3 emails, the 3 red notifications will appear.

once you read the messages the red notifcation disappears when it reappears it resets so if you got 3 additional messages it would be 3 if it is 1 it would be 1 hope this helps
