Facebook people, how can i join a group without the people on my friends list knowing?

I want to join a Facebook group. But, i don't want anyone on my friends list(not part of the group) to see i am part of the group when they look at my profile page. Does that show? How can i conceal it? Thanks!

You can hide which groups you belong to. Here's how:

Go to Account.
Go to Privacy Settings.
At the top, click on View Settings in the 'Connecting on Facebook' section.
Scroll to the last item in the list 'See your likes, activities and other connections' and select 'Customize' from the list. In the little window that opens, select 'Only Me' in the drop down box.
