I think it does now. Didnt used to but now everytime someone friend requests me I notice they are following me and I haven't accepted a single one of them as friends

yes, just sending a friend requests automatically makes you follow the person - but you only can see the things they post publicly, which can only be done if the person is over 18 years old
so that probably explains why you got "no" answers to your question - those are little kids answering |
