what does mean when it says 'talking about this' on facebook?

On a facebook page it says '100 people like this' but then next to it it says ' 50 people talking about this'. What does the second mean and how can you 'talk about a page'

When people "talk" about something - it means that a word or phrase appears in a lot of status' so facebook assumes that this keyword is a "thing" that people are obviously talking about and everyone knows about e.g. Christmas
So if you make a status update about (for example) the olympics, 50 people may like your status but a lot of your friends will also have the word "olympic" in their status' so facebook will assume that people are talking about this and tell you how many people are talking about it.
