Someone opened facebook account using my email and my name, what do do?
I[m posting this again, please help me. I have a facebook account using another email, a few days ago I started receiving emails from facebook telling me about a facebook account using another email I have. I thought it was spam so I didn't open the links. Now every few days I get facebook messages that people are adding me to their accounts.

I used the friend finders in my facebook to find out what was going on, I discovered my other email has a facebook account with my name! I don't know what to do about it, there's no way to talk to facebook directly about it. I pressed the report button on that persons facebook but of course as they are using my email, facebook emailed me instead. I did change my email password but I keep receiving emails from people adding me to that account which is not mine.

Please, if anyone knows what to do, help me, I want facebook to close that account, I want my email back. Thanks.
Hi Pietro, I have done everything you told me, but faebook asks to confirm sending a text message, apparently they put a phone number to confirm password changes, I can[t change the password, any other ideas? Thanks for all your help everyone!

If the email address for that account is really yours, you should be able to delete it on your own. Waiting for Facebook to do it might take forever, and there's no guarantee they'll get to it.

Follow these instructions step-by-step:

1.) Log out of your facebook account.
2.) Click "forgot password."
3.) Enter the email for the account you want deleted, and click "Search."
4.) Type the catchpa into the box.
5.) Click "Reset Password" once the next screen loads.
6.) Open the email account in a separate tab, and wait for an email with a password reset code.
7.) Enter that code into the box back in Facebook.
8.) That should allow you to access the alternate account. If no one has access to your email, it should also change the password in that Facebook account so that whoever created it no longer has access to it.
9.) Click "Account Settings." Select "Deactivate Account," and follow the instructions from there.

New info: If Facebook asked you to give a phone number, you should be able to type in your cell number, and get a text with a confirmation code right away. Or is it asking you to text from your phone? If that's the case, the best you can do is get everyone you know to report the account.
