facebook and should you reconnect with ppl from your past?

I wonder if anyone on here thinks facebook is stupid.
So i decided to get facebook for 2 weeks to add some old friends.Hovewer shortly i realized how annoying it can get.
I started having random people adding me and asking me all kinds of questions.I had an old ex bff trying to be friends with me again.So i didnt want to deal with all the drama and deleted my account.
I feel like if someone is my real friend they should know my cells number and if they dont they should not be my friend in the first place.

DOes anyone feel the same i do?i wonder if anyone is like me out there.

And how is twitter and instagram different can you make any money by having any of those social networks.

I feel exactly the same way. There's nothing you can do with Facebook that you can't do with a phone number and email/Skype. Facebook friends are not your friends. If you wanted to be friends, you would have stayed in touch. I don't have an account because I don't want to provide an easy medium for all the "friends" from my past to contact me. Facebook is so popular because people are naturally curious and nosey. They want to know what's going on in your life without having an actual commitment like friendship. I don't care what people from my past are doing.
