Facebook "Stories" ?

If I have a life event "story" on my timeline for example... "In A Relationship", and I click on the edit button and add the name of the person to the story, does it post a new update in the newsfeed or will it just change the "story" on my timeline?

It will change the story and post it as a new status update .

According to the privacy policies of Facebook if you do any modifications in the time line it will be posted to the news feed of others .
