will i be able to make a lawsuit and sue over this?
i was born with serious ADHD preventing me from being able to keep up with the class, however i was not diagnosed until i was 17 (2007). i admitted myself into the hospital over depression because of a girlfriend and i wanted to get help, that is when they discovered my ADHD.

that is when they prescribed me with ritalin and i was told to take 20mg a day, it made me feel real good. (one of the main symptoms of adhd is addiction, and u constantly try to give in to things that give you pleasure or stimulate the brain)

so i couldnt stop taking them, and this lead me to isolate myself at all times where i lost my ability to socialize with friends and to build relationships with anyone and i started to develop psychosis (seeing the devil everywhere i looked, etc.)

for four years i remained in isolation, alone in my dark basement where my mind was completely destroyed, ruining any chance of ever having a future.

in 2011 something so horrifying started to happen to me that i ran to the hospital and told them to get me off of this stuff because of what it was doing to me. i was then put on anti psychotics for the damage the ritalin caused me.

now 3 years later and nothing has gotten better and i still have terrible social anxiety and depression. i still have no hope for a normal future and the happy kid i once was is gone.

well i was taking the drug i developed a horrifying belief that i was going to hell with no way out (this is why i never attempted suicide) the belief is still with me now and my psychiatrist told me that while i was taking the ritalin, it caused me to fall under a delusion that has stayed with me.

i was never given any warnings that ritalin could do such horrible things to me. all i was trying to do was go to the hospital to get help for some problems i was having in 2007 only to be given a drug that was supposed to help me focus better and it lead to problems much worst.

MANY people who get diagnosed with ADHD do not actually have it. but with me who really has it, drugs like ritalin has a much more powerful effect on me mentally because of difference in my brain chemistry (i believe).

can i start a lawsuit over this? if so, who would i be suing.

all my memories of me enjoying life, involved with relationships, and being social, was before i was given ritalin.

ritalin is a horrible drug and should be taken off the market. it may not be that addicting to everyone but with me it was the most addicting drug i have done (i used to do cocaine, ecstasy, weed) but none of those drugs were as addicting as ritalin, for me. what do i do?
yes it can be proven that ritalin has caused all these symptoms,,,and yes i do have ADHD. and every symptom of it

Yes, sue your parents for not recognizing that you had a problem and doing something about it.

Recent studies if Britain reveal that 90% or more outgrow ADHD by the time they reach 21 years of age.

Meaning no insult here but as I have observed, many with ADHD symptoms are missing something else from their lives. This is not something new that has popped up in just the last 15 years. These are issues that our great grand parents dealt with in their children or themselves. And yet managed to get er done quite well. There is no instant pill. That is a liberal pipe dream. But there is a lot of contemplation and understanding to be gathered.

A law suit is not a cure. Only a short lived, temporary fix.

You don't have ADHD, if you're addicted to ritalin. Most likely you were misdiagnosed and just hold onto this idea because it keeps you in drugs. This makes much more sense then your theories on how ADHD works differently for you.

Get an actual therapist, rather than just popping pills and thinking that will work. It's obvious at this point you're not someone for whom medication works. It's obvious you won't quit on your own.

Oh and stop looking to blame other people for your habit.
Stop looking for a free payday.

You take drugs, because you like being on drugs,

Nobody tricked you into taking them. Nobody owes you money.

Face up to you being responsible for your own behavior.

Yes, you can sue your high school English teacher for not teaching you well.

Beyond that, no, you do not have a lawsuit. Mostly because you can not absolutely prove a direct connection between your symptoms and the drug.

FYI when you re tell this.... because I know you will. The symptoms for ADHD typically don't express themselves until on average age 7. The earliest is age 3, and there is no study to suggest that you are born with "serious ADHD" Most people with ADHD resolve their symptoms by age 21.

Do a little research so the story sounds plausible.

Further, you can sue a ham sandwich for having too much mustard if you want to. You have to be able to prove correlation and damages. Your narrative does neither.

Added info: "it can be proven" is significantly different than making a direct correlation in a court linking the drug to your symptoms. A first year law student will blame it on your parents smoking, having alcohol in the house, the nuclear power plant three states away. Did you ever take drugs? That will come out.... have you ever had an alcoholic drink? that will come out. Have you ever taken any other medications, antibiotics, cold pills, aspirin.... did you get flu shots? MMR, Polio Vaccine.

You have no case. But whatever.... sue away
