why didnt the guy who likes me follow me on instagram?

sometimes I think he's playing games with me but im almost 100% positive this guy likes me, I don't feel like typing everything he did so take my word for it lol. anyway lately he has been giving me mixed signals. one moment showing no interest, the next showing heavy signs..i just get the feeling he is messing with me for some reason he even told one of his friends he likes me and the other he doesn't. idek. I recently followed him and he follows EVERYBODY back and he has been on it ik for sure but he didn't follow me back. Why? idk what I did or if its part of his dumb game.. please help!

Him following you on twitter, instagram, facebook or whatever shouldn't give you a sign of whether or not he likes you. Look for signs in REALITY. How he talks to you, treats you, looks at you. Even if he doesn't follow you, doesn't mean he doesn't like you. Too many young people base relationship statuses in the real world on those in terms of social networks. It shouldn't mean a thing, darling.
