Should Social Security be privatized?
John McCain has called Social Security "an absolute disgrace" and believes it should be privatized and the funds invested in the stock market, among other investments. Do you agree?
The Orange Evil -- how is it the United States can find hundreds of billions of $$ to bail out 3 huge financial corporations and back the purchase of another (Bear Stearns), but can't guarantee it T-bills? Also, what do you suppose would happen to the US gvts. global borrowing capacity if it reneged on those obligations? Please put some thought into your answer next time. Thank you.

Oh yea, had that been done a few years ago, with the events of the last two days, no one would be getting a check next month.

Yes, but individuals should have the option to let the government handle their account the same as it is now - nobody should be forced or prevented from privitizing their SS account.
