Looking for some web marketing advice!?

Can anyone suggest forums that allow for the promotion of new upcoming web sites? I just launched a site that I would like to spread the word about - without spamming. Any known resources out there for this type of thing? Thanks in advance!!!

It will depend on what your website niche is. If your website is about clothes, for example, then google

clothing+forum.

You should get a list of forums related to your niche topic.

You really need to know where your target audience is hanging out on the Internet. If they are on forums, then you can simply Google these forums and start participating in them.

The recent rise of social networking platforms like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn has opened up a lot of opportunities for marketing too.

Just make sure that you know where your target audience is hanging out and reach out to them.

I would start a facebook and twitter page and get as many fans/followers as possible. That will help tremendously. Also, try Digg.com thats another great way to spread the word of your site. Also, submit your sitemap to all the major search engines (google, yahoo! and Bing) through webmasters.com. Hope this helps
