How can I make my community fb page a group page?

I made a community page on facebook and all the post that anyone makes show up in a little box on the side titled "recent posts by others". This is not working. I am having to go in and one by one making them available to show on the main page. I would like to solve this by either finding a way to allow everyones posts to automatically be shown on the page, or I would like to figure out how to change the community page into a group page (I believe I wont have this problem if its a group page). It sees like the easiest thing to do would be to delete this page and just start from scratch--but i dont think the 100+ members would enjoy that..

you cant convert it to a group, as they are two very different things

Go to your facebook page. Click on the Edit Page button. There you will find posting ability options. Check "Everyone can post on your page timeline" , Uncheck "Show recent posts by others ..." and under that there is a dropdown "Default visibility of posts by others on yout page's timeline:" . Here select Allowed on page.
