why cant i sync my contacts from facebook onto my htc evo 4g?

I just got another hyc evo4g and when i got to sync my contacts from facebook in my contacts area a messgae keeps popping up saying service is currently unavailble but i can get on the internet fine. Why?

Facebook Inc, due to the number of complaints, has removed contact sync from the official facebook app on all androids................ big news in the tech world here........... the updated app has NO sync option..... older androids with facebook sync built in, like yours, will get error messages... why???? that sync server at Facebook headquarters... lmao... no longer exists.. lmao! hence ---- error! there is nothing to sync to..

instead, get SYNC.ME app... 1 word... "sync.me".....

this will sync facebook/twitter/linkin contact pics to your existing contact list. This is better than facebook contact sync.... cause instead of syncing 500+ people, only the poeple you truely care about (worthy of being in your contact list on a regular basis) will be synced....
