Is it normal to not have any friends?

I'm 18 years old, Don't get me wrong I do have about 6 close friends but they don't like partying or going out drinking etc. I do have work friends who I have gone on a few nights out with which are a laugh but they do live 20 miles from me so I find it hard to go out with them more like once a month.

I have recently been dating someone who I met through Facebook, going really well with her. Going out with her on new years night. She has a real close group of friends who spend tonnes of time together and party etc.

Am I normal for not having this? I'm not a huge fan of the group she hangs around with so its not like I can join their outings

Do not say you don't have any friends and then openly admit that you have six close friends. You contradict yourself with the statement.

Basically you have friends but they don't like going out very much. That is all. This is perfectly normal depending on the sorts of friends you have and you interests.
