I'd like them to deal with my issue;

Please do not ignore me.

You have not solved my problem and you have been condescending and patronising regarding it. This is unacceptable in 2014 - one would expect a service provider to provide a service not just dump something on you like a fait accompli.

You haven't dealt with my issue, you have reproduced your password changing procedure. You have told me the reasons behind forcing me to change my password, you have no explained to my why or given me the proof that my account *might* have been attempted to be accessed by someone else, but failed. If they did not succeed in finding out what my password was, why change it now? It works.

As I have repeatedly stated; I have had a Yahoo account since the 1990s. I might not pay for it, which probably allows you to treat me like an imbecile and second class citizen, but it patronising and unhelpful. During this time my account has never been compromised.

I would like you to explain to me how changing my password to one that now LOOKS like a password and needs to be written down until I memorize it from the one that WAS NOT compromised is a good thing? This you have consistently and steadfastly refused to address. Forcing me to change my password to one that I have to keep on my person is surely far more of a breach of security?

Secondly, you have also steadfastly refused to explain to me why you will not allow me to restore my original settings. Not only have I had to suffer a complete redesign of Yahoo mail that has made my email experience considerably less useful and enjoyable than it was, you have no compromised my account by forcing me to change a password that had NEVER been compromised. Is this just a new Yahoo policy? Is this just a new thing that means your 'customers' HAVE to change their passwords to your news structure but you won't admit to this after the furore that was caused by your facelift?

I would also like you to explain to me what Yahoo Customer Care does? Does it care about the customer or is it there just to arbitrarily enforce changes and then patronise the 'customer' until he gives up out of frustration? You can choose to ignore my emails, but I will document this through social media, through my blog (run by Google with over 100,000 subscribers) and whenever and wherever I can. I will steadfastly recommend my friends, colleagues and strangers to use anything but Yahoo unless you have the common decency to address my concerns and not dismiss them out of hand because they don't follow the script you have.

I will also continue to bombard you with this email until you deal with it or you force me to look into some kind of legal procedure. You have also refused to explain to me why MY email account has to conform to your rules. It is my account, the emails in it are my emails, sent to me, not to you, if I wish to have a weak password that is my choice - where does it state in your terms and conditions that you can do this?

Hi, Try Clearing History, Cookies and Cache, also Update the Internet Browser you are using at the moment or use a Different Internet Browser.

Very Basic way to read your Emails http://m.yahoo.com/p/mail

To Contact Yahoo by Email, this can be done by clicking on HELP at the Bottom Right Hand side of the Yahoo Home Page under Horoscopes.

Click on whatever Subject is best for you for more information, you can also Click on the Arrows for more options, or Type your Problem in the Search Help box.m TYPE SECURITY QUESTIONS

For more Help and advice you can also Go to the Right hand side of page and click on Contact Customer Care.

Click on Select a Product, then select a Category or Version, page will reload for you to click on Sub Category.

Make sure you fill in Brief Details of what has Happened, click Enter.

Depending on the Category you select and the Sub Category you also select you may see at the Bottom of the Page for more help Click on EMAIL A SUPPORT AGENT. You may have to click on different ones and try variations.

Or else there will be information there on the page to help with your problem.

There will then be a Form to fill in. Fill in the form with as much information as you can remember about your security details and your yahoo account etc.

Yahoo will then contact you at a Different Email Address that you need to give them. This email address CANNOT be a yahoo email one.

You need to give them a different Email Address, it could be one that you already have or you will need to create a new one, Google, Hotmail, etc. You do this by clicking on Email and then click on Register and follow the instructions.

They only need this Different Email Address to give you instructions regarding your yahoo account.

When Yahoo send you an email, make sure you check the Trash and Spam folders as well as the Inbox in case it went in there instead.

You will be asked to create a New Password, Best a hard to Guess One for anyone trying to access your Yahoo Account.

I Would Also Strongly advise that you register an alternative email address and your Mobile Number/Cell Phone Number with Yahoo, that is done through Account Settings. (I Think).

That way if your account is ever hacked or similar, a message should come up and they can send a code to your phone or other email address for you to then unlock your Yahoo Email Account.

Good Luck
Claire

If you haven't tried to login to Facebook in a long time your Facebook account may have been disabled or deleted.

Here's a link to the Facebook Help Pages for Login and Password issues - https://www.facebook.com/help/292105707596942/

Link for Disabled Facebook accounts - https://www.facebook.com/help/185747581553788

For your Yahoo account.

Here's how to recover your password using a mobile phone number,
an alternate email address, or by answering your security questions

http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en...ions=false

If you do not have a non-Yahoo! alternate email address, valid mobile number, or cannot verify your security questions you will need to contact Yahoo Customer Care, the following contact options are available:

In the US Call 1-800-318-0612
International users Call 509-797-6330

Twitter - https://twitter.com/YahooCare
Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/YahooCustomerCare

Here's how to use the automated web-based contact system.
Click one of the links above.
Click the "Contact Customer Care" link
under the Quick Links section to the right of your screen.
This should open the Yahoo Help form.

The Selected product should be "Yahoo Account"

"Under Topic" select "Password and sign in"
"Under Sub-topic" select "unable to sign in"
"Under Recommended options" Click on the Email link.

Complete the form as indicated. If you don't remember your Security Question or Security Answer enter "unknown". Yahoo will use the information you provide to verify you are the actual owner of the account. If they can't verify your information it's unlikely you will be able to recover your account.

If you're able to recover your account here's some guidelines for creating a secure, strong password - http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=cont...OD_MAIL_ML

Once you're able to change your password it would be a good idea to review your security questions and make changes if you don't remember your answers.

Changing your security questions - http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en...id=SLN2031

I recommend using a password manager like Keepass or LastPass to create and store strong unique passwords for the sites you visit. You can also save notes like your secret questions and answers to the password entries. LastPass can automatically log you in to any web site you have stored in its database.
