I met this girl who's a friend of one of my friends last week. She spoke mostly with her friend mostly and me very briefly.

Yesterday my friend went to go see her and they spoke most of the time. Me and her talked a little when he was doing something.

I then told him I had to catch the metro and his friend said she'd take it with me. We spoke about different things until my stop. This morning I woke up and have a friend request from her on Facebook. A Good sign?

I think that is a good sign. It's definitely not a bad sign, but honestly you shouldn't look into that too much. People friend request people all the time. Like I met random people at parties and talked for a split second and they would friend me the next day. If I were you I wouldn't read in to a friend request. It could mean anything or nothing. If you like this person, maybe write to her or be a little flirty on their wall, "like" a cute pic here and there.

Seems like it just keep talking to her over fb, try to be good enough friends, get them digits, and get out of the friendzone.
