Why facebook is boring & cold nowadays? Has majority of people abandoned it?

Whats wrong with facebook? Some months ago I keep seeing updates of different friends and pages and groups. I find too many friends online. But seems like nowadays it has become cold and boring. Now I don't find too many friends online nor do I see any updates from majority of good friends. Only some boring fb crazy people keep updating their status. Nowadays people are not updating their photos too. This change I am seeing since last 3-5 months. However I never had habit of updating status or chatting since starting but I use to visit it regularly and see friends online and updates regularly. But nowadays I don't see any updates from friends and don't find most of them online. Has people abandoned it just like once they abandoned orkut. People were crazy about orkut once but I came to know little later that most of them has adopted facebook and abandoned orkut. Same way this time am I unknown if people has found something better. I am on twitter but I don't think most of them are on twitter or google plus. Then what? Has anything better than fb came in market?

No Facebook still is the best just not everyone checks it everyhour, there is no point people can now use fb on thier phones and everything
