All Facebook Users!! - Could You Help Me?
Hey everyone!

Just a quick question - what does it mean if someone you know on facebook has more access to another person's page than you do, even if you are both not friends with the other person? As in if the other person can see the pictures at the top which are like "Pictures of ___".

I was just curious, because this is the only thing. My friend and I were both looking on someone's page and neither of us are friends with them, but my friend could click the button under the person's profile picture that says "See pictures of ___". I was thinking that this was a privacy setting, but then again neither of us know the person and don't have the person as a friend, so why would the person have different settings? Also, I do not think this is because the person has a "friend of friends" setting on, because if that was the case, I think I'd be the one with more access - me and the other person have 30 friends in common, whereas my friend and the person have 10

Many thanks, hope you understand what I said! I would REALLY appreciate some answers, as this is irritating me as it's so...weird.

Shelby x
It's irritating me because I don't know the cause, lol.
I have plenty of things to do, it's just something that came up and I'm curious about it, seeing as I don't go on facebook as much as most of my friends, and am therefore not as clued-up on it as them.

Lol, I do concentrate on my schoolwork...I don't see how that has anything to do with my question, but nevermind.
Santa's Mistress - Haha, yes you answered my question; I asked another simplified one to see if anyone else could help if it was explained in a simpler way. I see what you're saying, but the pictures tagged of the person are by people who neither me or my friend are friends with. It's a petty thing, I know, I'm just very curious to know why this is happening. I highly doubt (and also hope not!) that I'm not being blocked in any way, as you said, as I don't see any reason why I would be. Thanks for your answer x

Why does it irritate you so much for you to see this person's profile pictures tagged of them?
Either add them as a friend, and if they don't accept or you for some reason don't like them, then why don't you just ask your friend to go on the person's profile to see the pictures?
I don't know the reason for this either. It might be a glitch or something, Facebook is always having glitches because of it's copious amount of users.

Wait...shouldn't you be focusing on your schoolwork? Don't you have anything better to do with your time instead of worrying yourself over some silly 'I can't see this person's picture but my friend can!'? Do you know how lame that sounds?

Sorry, I don't mean to be mean. But, I just don't understand why it bothers you so much. Just because your friend has 10 friends in common with the person and you have 30 friends in common maybe the majority of your mutual friends don't visit her profile that much, or have blocked her etc.

Have a happy new years.

There is such a provision as "everything public" which means that a person does not restrict his / her particulars from being made public.

Hmmm I think I just answered a similar question earlier. Here's yet another solution. It could be that the person who TAGGED those pictures (the owner of the album or not) is friends with your friend, and you're not. You might have more common friends but are they all the same? Amongst your friend's 10 friends might be that one person that you don't have on your friends list, allowing your friend to access the pics.

Nowadays Facebook's quite annoying in a sense that even if your privacy settings have been configured properly, you will still have a trail of your recent activity on your wall (and in public). I read on Facebook's privacy settings that you will literally have to delete them from your wall. Only then can they not appear for everyone to see.
