Adsense VS Social media? How to earn from social media?

Why Google ad-sense is not allowed on social networks? I am sure I can make good bucks from my social media profiles lolz. Than how to earn from social media?

You don't directly make money for being popular, you have to somehow convert your social traffic to money, more often social sites are used as an alternative advertising and traffic source for a separate commercial site. I don't know the various social site terms, if not ad revenue, some allow you to insert affiliate links, it not either make an affiliate marketer blog with both Adsense and affiliate links that the social sites link to. Affiliate links have a larger earning potential than Adsense, which some say "pays the electric bill"
Often the social sites want to keep ad revenue for themselves, I know article sites like Squidoo an Hiubpages split the revenue with you (actually dividing clicks among your 2 accounts)
