Is there any way to do this on Facebook?
Hello everyone. You know how if you search someone a lot on Facebook their name comes up? Like say your name is Amber when someone types in "Am" Amber pops up?

I'm pretty sure I have a stalker so is there any way for me to keep from popping up when he searches for me? I don't want him to be able to find me at all even if my name automatically pops up when he begins typing my name.

Will I just have to make a new Facebook and hope he doesn't find that one?
Just wanted to add, I know about the "who can look me up by my e-mail and phone number?" options and I have those both set to friends only. But is there an option to keep someone from searching me at all?

Change your name on Facebook. How about first and middle name only. Lots of people do that. There are probably 50,000 Ambers.

Too much information on Facebook is risky. Delete your email and phone number from their records as well as your current location. You can keep people that arent Friends from looking at your pages.

Hi,

You can make your Facebook profile "un-discoverable", which means that only your friends can find you on their friends list or by the search; and you can add other people. In this mode, people who are not friends with you cannot search for you or add you as a friend.

Otherwise, my best advice would be only to make your statuses "Friends only", so only your trusted friends can see your statuses, likes and location tags. Also, as obvious as it may seem; do not add strangers on Facebook. My brother had a friend request from someone else of the same name, from another country (we have an unusual surname too) and he accepted. BIG MISTAKE!

You can make these changes by clicking the little COG in the corner of the screen, near where your name is and click "Account Settings" or it might be "Privacy settings" now.

Hope i've helped Smile
