Why am I targeted for Racism?
-Nationality Iranian
- Religion Muslim

All my life people are racist/predjudice towards me. I'm a rich kid, and I go on holidays 9 times a year. However even when I am abroad I get racist remarks about my nationality, religion ect... In my whole life I have gotten comments like this:
I've been called Al'quidea, Osama bin ladens son, acuused of 911?(wtf), Iv'e had people running around me wearing turbans shouting arabic at me, I've been named a Taliban, People won't even trade with me in monopoly because apparently-"They don't negotiate with terrorists?", this is just the tip of the ice berg....

I am not the only person going through this. Everybody chinese in my school is taken the piss out of as well as me. Although there is this chinese twat in our school and that apple kinda spoils the bunch. There is this gay Iranian in our school that act so gaaay that it makes Iranians a target in our school. Anyway to sum it up I would never get racist back at sombody eventhough I've had plenty of oppurtunities. I am not a racist person despite my family in Iran. I have been named as one of the toughest in my year (grade if your American). So I could easily smash somones skull in. I have beaten up alot of people but that never helps. I would appreaciate some advice, thanks.

beating up people, not good. Rise above their mean and cruel behavior. I am a Christian and believe me we get nasty remarks made about us too. Ignore it. We live in such a secular world; much of it anyway. A large proportion of the western world is atheist and so they despise anyone that does not agree with them. Faith is not something they will ever grasp.

The people who are being racist towards you, have no respect for themselves and no understanding of others feelings. I say you should just ignore them. People like that do not go far in life. If you show ignorance towards them, at some point they will just give up and will see that you are the bigger person. Besides, since you are still in school, kids are kids - they don't care if they're hurting you, if they see that you are bothered by it they will just continue doing it.
As abit of advice for yourself. Do not single people out. Like the Iranian gay kid in school who "brings shame among all other Iranians", if being gay makes him happy leave him be, his nationality should not matter, since he lives in a free country where you are allowed to openly express your sexuality

Racism against Iranian? Iranians are attractive, intelligent, rich, cultured and has beautiful rich proud history. How anyone can be racist against a native of country which has so many good qualities? First of all, you have to understand world history and human psychology. Discrimination and stereotyping happens to everyone and everywhere. Television and politics plays very major role in creating these stereotypes. In US politics, muslim countries especially Iran are portrayed as villains and enemies. Especially after 9/11 attacks, muslims all over the world are stereotyped as terrorists, medieval barbarians and oppressor of women. US and UK invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. They toppled ruling government in Libya. US is supporting insurgents against Syria. US is supporting Israel against Palestinians. To do all these activities, they need to gather public support and approval. To get public support and approval, US government controlled media spreads negative stereotypes against muslims in general. Ordinary people are suckers anyway. They will believe whatever lies which media perpetuate for sake of patriotism and love of their country. That's the power of media. Muslims are not the only one who are targeted in USA. In past, African-Americans, Chinese, Germans and Russians had to face similar stereotypes in US and UK.
If media can destroy social image of a community or race then media can promote ‘cool and trendy’ social image of a community too. Look at the African-American men and their media generated 'tough and cool' image in white America. There are many young and attractive white women in US who exclusively date African-American men only due to their social image in media. Many of these white girls will not even look at white boys or give them a chance. Even ugliest looking African men can get white girls in US and UK due to their media generated ‘cool’ image. Watch all those YouTube videos where many attractive white girls are begging for black boys attention. Can you believe this? Once these black people were most hated and despised race in USA and Europe. Now due to power of media, these African black men become most desired men for many white girls in US.

It says you live in the UK. Any Asian who lives here knows that White English people suck up to Black people whilst they are either racist or tend to look down on Asians. There's not really much else to it, that's just the case.

Also it's more so the working class rather than the middle, upper middle, or upper class sections of society whom are racist.

Hey man. I feel bad for you. You should learn more about your culture and be proud of who you are. Those insults are not that bad if you think about it. They are just poor jokes meant to degrade you. They want to bring you down because you are living so nice off of your parents, and they can see that you wouldn't be able to be rich on your own. Honestly, you need to look at your weakness and do something about it. As for the chinese, nobody likes them because they have no manners and are dirty. Obviously people who hurt you are not meant to be your friends. Tune them out and be the man you want to be.

My advice to you would be to study the works of Elijah Mohammed and Louis Farakhan. They are black leaders and nationalists, you may find it very inspirational.
