From where you're at, you could gradually improve designs, streamlines and detail drawings,
your artwork at this time shows vehicles as models, outlined in pencil, then modified, then coloured, eventually as custom design, you can be more radical in reshaping body, separate sketch line from color version, having no lines and more shading of contours look at using 2D to 3D rendering tools to create new designs, and export jpg images of process, if you have ideas that are conceptual or creative , not from any car design, sketch those out, and throw some wheels on it, like this for rough draft http://www.carbodydesign.com/archive/200...review.jpg then this for color version (no linework) http://www.carbodydesign.com/media/2013/...55x266.jpg PTC Creo Sketch http://www.ptc.com/product/creo/sketch/ SketchBook Copic Edition http://copic.jp/en/sketchbook-ce.html AzDrawing & AzPainter2 http://forums.conceptart.org/showthread.php?t=225897 Gimp - image editor, http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html Inkscape illustrator http://www.inkscape.org/ SketchUp Make (sketch and color modes) http://www.sketchup.com/products/sketchup-make Warehouse http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/s...tnG=Search .. In terms of design, they're average. They look like all other cars I already see on the market. But you really need to work on your coloring and lines. Get some better pencils and an inking pen. In fact, copic markers (youtube them) would be awesome but they're quite expensive.
Anyways, your art will suffer badly if you don't get some better mediums to draw with. |

Well, they're all 3/4 view, try profile and other angles. Even if you're working from references, there are photos out there showing other positions. You don't have to stick with the classic car photos.
You use a lot of hard outlines around everything, this looks too 'coloring book', use a thinner line pen and don't get too heavy. Make the inner wheel wells darker, use shading a LOT more, these are metallic surfaces and they have a shine/sheen to them as well as a certain amount of reflection off the surface. Same with windows, any glass on the car will have a streak of sheen to it. I also don't see a 'light source' angle. If sun is hitting it, there will be darker shading especially on the lower part of the car and wheels. |
