How do i permanently delete my facebook account?

You can't permanently delete it but you can deactivate it, go to settings and you'll see it

not possible coz it will just deactivate it but whenever u will again re-enter ur username and password , it will re open again .
so technically u can't delete it permanently

You go to that page and there will be the instructions to permanently delete it.

Click "Submit" and follow the instructions.

Your account will be deactivated for two weeks, and if you DO NOT USE FACEBOOK IN ANY WAY during that period, your account is permanently deleted.

I REPEAT: Your profile isn't deleted right away! You must NOT log in to, or interact in any other way with Facebook for at least two weeks, as it will cancel the deletion request. That includes NOT logging in to Facebook using any client (like the iPhone app or IM like Pidgin), NOT clicking embedded Like-buttons on other websites, NOT logging in to other services using Facebook Connect (like Digg) etc etc.

Hey, while your're at it, delete all your browsing/forms history and cookies as well, to minimize the risk of accidentally using your account!

your account will be PERMANENTLY deleted if you do not use it AT ALL FOR 2 WEEKS.by the way i just put on cap locks to be more dramatic

click on acount and go to help centre .
type in the box permanent and it comes up how to permantly delete my account
it comes up a paragraph and click on submit your request here
click on that put in your pass and it says you can reactivate your account for two weeks but after that it is permantly deleted

the answer above is wrong as if you dont log in for one year it then is deleted but you must delete it properly if you want it gone b4 dat
