Facial Hair? 10 POINTS!?
Okay, before I start let me tell you a little bit about my self. I am a 14 year old boy, and I want some facial hair! Now, I do have a mustache, and it's not really small, it is decent. I also have a few hairs on my chin 2 or 3. I started to grow these really little side burns, where you can only see them when I get close to a mirror. Is there any way to help make facial hair, grow, or grow in thicker. Any like exercises or stuff to use? Please if your gonna answer don't you dare say it depends on Genetics! Oh, btw. My father said he started to begin a beard in 8th grade, so 14/15.

This may sound weird, but maybe DOO Grow will help! I use it in my hair, and it has worked WANDERS in helping my hair grow stronger and thicker.

There are no such exercises to make the hair on your face grow. Tongue

until one is like 20ish, i (coming from a 14 yr old girl) i like it when guys don't have a beard or whatever, but anyways, there isn't a way to "make hair grow." I'm not going to say it depends on genetics because i hate when you actually post "don't say...." and then someone says it, but what i will say is that shaving is a pain in the butt. and probably more so for guys cuz u cant put pants on your face or not where a sleveless shirt and be fine! ok to personal, i got that, but whatever. ur question really has no answer that you'd want. Wow. i really must have no social life if im answering facial hair questions on yahoo.

There is no scientific evidence that anything a guy does can make his facial hair grow differently than the way it is programmed to grow according to his inherited DNA. Facial hair on a teen aged guy, especially as young as fourteen makes a negative first impression on many people including teen girls. Stay clean shaven until the facial hair develops to the point of being able to actually grow facial hair usually around the late teens to early twenties. Shaving will not cause the hair growth to become thicker. Suggest a power fusion razor and trader joe's honey/mango moisturizing cream shave with aloe and vitamin E, in the orange tube. With that combination, a guy will look forward to shaving. Fusion blades are somewhat costly but even for a guy with a thick beard one blade cartridge can last for a month. For a teen with a light beard growth, one blade should easily last 3-4 months.
1) Wet face with warm water
2) Wash face with mild soap like trader joe's honey oatmeal; rinse face.
3) Fill receptacle, such as a one pint plastic container that contained yogurt, with hot water and place razor in it blade down.
4) Apply cream shave to face.
5) Shave with heated razor. First with the grain and then against the grain. May have to apply a bit more cream shave before shaving against the grain. Probably not necessary to shave against the grain with a very light beard.
6) While shaving, agitate razor through pint of hot water to free blades of hair, probably not necessary for a teen with a light beard.
7) Rinse face with warm water.
8) Rinse face with cold water to close pores.
9) Dry face.
10) Apply some type of after shave.
11) Apply a light coating of pure aloe vera gel to face, available for a reasonable price at trader joe's.
Note: can make an unscented after shave by combining one part isopropyl alcohol and ten parts water; bottle it and have it on hand when shaving.
Good Luck!

Certain vitamins and minerals help increase the speed at which facial hair grows. Include Vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C and vitamin E in your diet as they speed up the hair growth process.

Clean skin encourages small hair to grow. Keep your skin clean. Wash it with warm water and a mild cleanser every morning and evening.

One of the noted side effects of smoking is hair loss. Nicotine from cigarette smoke hinders your body's ability to absorb nutrients needed for hair growth and decreases blood circulation by constricting blood vessels. Avoid smoking to increase facial hair growth.

Beards will grow more quickly when you are relaxed, and many beauty and health experts believe hair reveals stress. Manage stress in healthy ways through meditation and yoga for better results.

Increase the amount of protein in your diet. Protein found in meat, fish, eggs and nuts will help the hair grow more quickly on your face.

Exfoliate your skin once a week. Removing dead skin cells will promote hair growth.

Facial massage improves blood circulation to the face, which will stimulate new hair growth.

Moisturised skin creates a better environment for facial hair to grow quickly, which will create a beard fast. Use a cream or moisturiser with eucalyptus as an ingredient.

Check your face for ingrown hairs. Beards will not grow in evenly if you have ingrown hairs on your face.

Incorporate vitamin B into your diet. Vitamins B1, B6 and B12 are especially useful in helping hair grow quickly.

Hair cannot grow without proper nutrients in the body, and fruits and veggies provide several vitamins and minerals, which are needed for hair to grow quickly.

Eat a healthy diet and drink plenty of water to keep the body operating at its optimal level to increase hair growth.
