Should i delete my social media accounts?
I am currently active on twitter, instagram, kik, twitter, skype, oovoo, and meetme. I also have an account on myspace, singsnap, and quizazz (which i use occasionally), buddyup and various yahoo answer accounts. I have quit a lot recently and I REALLY want to get back into music. The problem is that I spend all my time on these websites. I am considering deleting all my accounts because I do want to get a life. The problem is that I have a bit of an emotional attachments to these websites. I have over 250 facebook friends. 80 followers on instagram, and 360 followers on twitter. I have a lot of pride in these numbers because they are some of my biggest accomplishments in the last year. i also got a puppy that i spend no time playing with and often see as a huge nuisance and my social skills have gone down. I want to delete these accounts, but i talk to friends, get information and meet new friends on these websites. And i take a lot of pride in my amount of friends/followers/admirers. Also, I have become huge fans of a lot of bands and I honestly can't sleep or do much without listening to music. Its fine at school, but when I'm home, especially when I'm on the computer I can't stand the silence. Also, one of my friends is trying to get me a cyber-date, and i'm not sure if i should accept. Also, another of my friends thinks i have a "problem" with technology. If she is right, what would help with this "problem"? and what is your opinion on the matter? I generally spend 2-4 hours a day "connected" as my parents call it and I'd say that's about normal. What do tyou think i should do?
see, part of the problem is that when it is available, I have troble turning away from these sites.

Think about the social websites that you haven't been on in a while. Did you lose interests in them? and I would use Youtube,Twitter for music.

You don't have to quit them if you don't want to. And you can just visit them when you want to, you don't have to visit them everyday. Just get out and do what you would like to do, and worry about the sites later.

Delete most of them but leave one or two...then choose the amount of time you will spend on those sites! Then try to survive like that, if it is not working, delete them all! XD

You feel bad when you think that all the stuff you accomplished on the sites will be gone... but really, just try not to think about it and just go delete them! After, you wont feel bad about it much at all... that's it like for me.

Listening to music is fine, just don't make it too loud, bad for ears ^_^ and don't be rude and listen to music in company too.

Cyber date! Nono! It can be anyone over the internet! Rapist, old grandpa saying he is a young sexy guy... It is dangerous for you.

Oh and take care of the puppy! Make sure you don't neglect him ^^

Hmm actually I think I spend longer time online than you and I consider myself perfectly normal.

Bye!

Social media is great. Get Tumblr. You only really need Facebook to talk to friends though. There's really no point to Twitter in my opinion though. But you can juggle spending time with your puppy and social networking. Just cut down a lot. Set yourself time limits on it and a schedule to walk your dog. A good way is to go on it before going to bed or something like that. But don't let it take over your life. You can control it, don't let it control you.

I agree about the prioritizing, yes I know it isn't easy.. nothing is easy if you are weak and If you are weak then work on YOU getting strong not on the websites.

I do surf on a christian singles site that is the best I ever found.

A huge dating service - thousands of members (like me and some friends) looking for friends, marriage, even bible-study. The site has a searchable emails, chatrooms, and more.
Check it from the source http://friendfinder.com/go/g928903
